Mr.Cowen used many different graphics in his presentation. Everything was very visual which made it way easier to learn. He showed everything he did on the computer step by step and he made finding the websites easy to remember. He also used the 3D printer for us and explained in part how he put it together. Being able to see him use it and watch it function put it into perspective and made it easier to understand this new piece of technology. I can incorporate this into my Genius Hour Presentation by providing lots of examples and visual aids to help listeners understand what I am speaking about.

The author talks about the common misconception which states to be a genius one must be exceptionally smart and have a high IQ. To be considered a genius a person does not need to have an extremely high IQ or grades, he or she must have creative thinking strategies and know how to think not what to think. Geniuses think and strategize by looking at problems in different ways, making their thoughts visible, producing, making novel combinations, forcing relationships, thinking in opposites, thinking metaphorically, and preparing themselves for chance. I can apply this to my own genius hour by looking at my topic from different angles and in turn be able to find new solutions and come up with new ideas.
